SPORTS ACADEMY PROGRAMME
The Marcelona Sports Foundation Sports Academy Programme is our flagship post-16 education and sports development programme, designed to help young people achieve their academic, personal and sporting potential.
Our academy responds to some of the key challenges facing young people today, including educational disengagement, physical inactivity, poor mental wellbeing and limited employment opportunities. By combining high-quality education with elite sports provision, we create an environment where young people can thrive both on and off the field.
Students participate in structured training and competitive fixtures across a range of sports, in particular, football, while studying a full-time Level 3 programme leading to nationally recognised qualifications. This integrated approach enables learners to continue their education while pursuing their sporting ambitions and developing the skills needed for successful adult lives.
Whether a student's ambition is to become a professional athlete, attend university, work within the sports industry or pursue an alternative career, we provide the guidance, experience and support needed to help them achieve their goals.
Our commitment extends beyond the classroom and training pitch.
Every learner receives personalised support throughout their journey, ensuring they develop the confidence, qualifications and life skills needed to progress successfully into further education, higher education, employment or the sports industry. We continue to support students with progression planning and transition, helping them make informed choices and build sustainable futures.
Developing Talent, Building Futures - The Football Academy Programme is proudly delivered in partnership with Marcelona Sports College, providing an outstanding blend of specialist education, sport and personal development. Find out more: www.marcelonasportscollege.co.uk

OPEN ACCESS TO COMMUNITY SPORTS PROGRAMME
Our Open Access to Community Sports (OACS) Programme provides free, inclusive sports sessions for young people aged 5–16 living in disadvantaged communities.
Through structured activities in a safe and supportive environment, we help young people improve their physical and mental wellbeing, build confidence, develop friendships and foster a strong sense of belonging.
By delivering sessions during peak times for antisocial behaviour, including after school, the programme provides positive opportunities that help reduce social isolation, crime and youth violence while strengthening local communities.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITY PROGRAMME
Our Holiday Activity Programme supports children aged 5–11 from low-income families during the school holidays.
The programme provides a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children can enjoy sports and enrichment activities, make new friends, stay active and receive a nutritious meal. By offering four days of activities each week throughout the holidays, we help reduce holiday hunger, support family wellbeing and ensure young people remain active, connected and engaged outside of school.
